I met a patient who was taking losartan and ended up with a fatty liver, (the guy doesn't even drink!). The heart is a muscle and muscle deterioration is horrible, folks! I've seen my husband go from a strong naturopath and nutritionist who worked out regularly, to a man who is expe ... riencing the muscle deterioration! We stopped all salt and the med immediately and started supplementation to recover of his muscles. Going to his doctors, they just wanted to put him on other meds with more damaging side effects. I don't trust them anymore. Losartan doesn't build muscle, it makes it deteriorate - and the heart is a muscle! I don't want to lose my husband and I will fight for his life!
